Travelling with existing medical conditions – we can, in the majority of cases, provide cover for your existing medical conditions on all our range of travel insurance policies. In many cases we are able to cover for existing medical conditions as standard, i.e. at no extra cost to you. However, should this not be possible, the process does not end there, as we can cover many more existing medical conditions with additional terms. Fogg’s medical screening line will be happy to help and provide you with a decision on cover.
What’s Covered On Backpacker Insurance?
We’ve use our experience and hard work to ensure that you have a policy you can rely on. Fogg policies have everything you’d expect from your travel insurance, so you can travel with reassurance that you’re covered by the experts. Our longstay & backpacker travel insurance covers have the following features:
⇨ Age limit of 35 years for our BACKPACKER travel insurance.
⇨ Back packers, as the name suggests, usually travel light and want to keep the costs down, so our backpacker travel insurance has been tailored to provide you with a good value travel insurance whilst maintaining the all important and more than sufficient - £1 million emergency medical and repatriation cover.
⇨ Age limit of 55 years for our LONGSTAY travel insurance.
⇨ Longstay travel insurance provides more extensive cover, with higher sums insured (e.g. £5 million emergency medical and repatriation cover) over and above our backpacker option.
⇨ You can compare our backpacker & longstay cover under the Summary of Cover page or at the quote stage.
⇨ Trips up to 18 months are covered.
⇨ You can extend your travel insurance cover whilst away if you decide to stay longer, but your entire trip can only last a maximum of 18 months. Simply call our friendly customer services team and they will be happy to process this for you.
⇨ Activity pack 1 automatically included, providing cover for over 100 adventure sports and activities. Option to add further activities at additional premium.
⇨ Non man manual work covered such as volunteering, bar work or teaching.
Discounts given for couples and families.
Do I Need Backpacker or Longstay Trip Cover?
The secret to a safe and successful journey is having travel insurance cover to suit your needs as emergency medical treatment can be expensive, with hospital charges or ambulance and doctor fees running into the thousands before you know it. Lost baggage, a cancelled trip or the need to come home early (curtailment) or a delayed or cancelled flight – you never know what could happen, or when!
